TesseraDig

Last updated: 2026-09-01

TesseraDig is an offline logic puzzle game in which you read the numbers in the margin and lift a buried mosaic one tile at a time. This policy describes what TesseraDig does and does not do with your data. The short version: TesseraDig does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

1Information we collect

None. TesseraDig has no accounts, no sign-in, no registration, and no contact or feedback form. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier, and it has no mechanism to ask for one in a later session. Nothing you enter or tap is transmitted anywhere.

2Data stored on your device

To make the app work, TesseraDig stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:

  • Dig progress — which mosaics you have cleared, and the exact state of a grid you left part-way through so it can be restored when you return.
  • Play records — per-puzzle completion times, mistake counts and ratings, kept in a local SQLite database on the device.
  • Settings — your choices for sound, haptics, colour assistance and animation speed.
  • Totals and awards — lifetime figures (mosaics lifted, tiles dug, sessions played) and the badges computed from them; these are derived from the records above, not tracked separately.

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to TesseraDig or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.

3Permissions

None are requested. The Android manifest declares no runtime permissions and the iOS bundle declares no usage-description keys — no camera, location, microphone, contacts, photo library or storage access. The app never shows a permission prompt, because it never requires one.

4Network use

TesseraDig contains no networking code whatsoever — no HTTP client, no sockets, no web view, no remote endpoint. There is simply nothing for it to connect to. It behaves identically in airplane mode and on a device that has never had a connection. The single point at which data can leave the app is the system share sheet: if you choose to share a result card, your own device's sharing UI handles it, and the destination is entirely your decision.

5Third-party services

None. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service, no attribution or experimentation platform, and no billing or in-app purchase library integrated into TesseraDig. Its dependencies are the Flutter framework plus local-only utility packages for state management, on-device database storage, date formatting, layout and the system share sheet. No third party receives data from this app, because no data leaves the device.

6Children's privacy

TesseraDig is appropriate for all ages. Since it collects no personal information at all, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK) — or from anyone else. There is no advertising, no communication between players, no shared user-generated content and no purchases, so the additional protections those features would demand do not arise.

7Your rights

Everything the app stores remains on your own device, which means you control it directly. Clearing the app's data in your device settings, or uninstalling TesseraDig, permanently removes the local database, your settings and every record listed above. There is no server-side copy to access, correct, export or delete, and no account to close. If you have a question about this policy, contact us at the address below.

8Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
