GlyphSlide
GlyphSlide is an offline block-dropping puzzle game where you slide carved glyph blocks down a tomb shaft and seal full rows to open deeper chambers. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
GlyphSlide does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts and no servers — the whole game runs on your device.
Information we collect
None. GlyphSlide has no sign-up, no account and no backend, so there is nothing for us to collect and nothing is ever sent to us. The only text that resembles personal information is an optional player name on the profile screen; it is written to your device's local storage and never leaves it.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, GlyphSlide stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Game progress — your best score, star rating, seal count and drop count for each chamber you have played.
- Relic upgrades — the tier you have reached on each relic track.
- Merits — which milestones you have unlocked and when.
- A crash-recovery snapshot of an unfinished run, so a run in progress survives the app being closed.
- Settings and counters — your preferences and small scalar values the game keeps between sessions.
- An optional player name you may type on the profile screen (it defaults to “Tomb Scribe”).
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to GlyphSlide or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
None. The Android manifest requests no permissions at all — no internet, camera, location, microphone, contacts or storage access. The only manifest entry beyond the launcher activity is the standard Flutter text-processing query used by the system text-selection menu.
Network use
There is none. GlyphSlide makes no HTTP requests, opens no sockets and contacts no server; it does not even hold the Android INTERNET permission. The chambers, glyph shapes and artwork are all bundled inside the app, so the game plays exactly the same in airplane mode.
Third-party services
No analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDK is integrated — there is no Firebase, no AdMob, no Crashlytics or anything comparable, and there are no ads. The packages the game uses (Isar and path_provider for local storage, flutter_bloc for state, flutter_animate and gap for the interface, intl for number formatting, and share_plus) are all on-device libraries. share_plus is only used when you tap Share on the profile screen: it hands a short text summary of your progress to your operating system's share sheet, and whichever app you then pick handles it under its own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
GlyphSlide is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, there is nothing that could be gathered from a child under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), so it complies with COPPA and GDPR-K by design. We do not knowingly hold personal information about anyone.
Your rights
Since no data ever reaches us, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase on your behalf — you already have full control. Clearing the app's storage from your device settings or uninstalling GlyphSlide permanently removes every score, upgrade, merit, snapshot, setting and the player name described above. Note that this also means your progress is not backed up to any cloud: an uninstall is irreversible.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
